The itinerary for the exclusive 50th anniversary of the Culturama Festival has been announced and is detailed below.
ITINERARY FOR THE FESTIVAL IS AS FOLLOWS:
- July 25: The festival starts with the official opening ceremony of Culturama, setting the stage for two weeks of cultural celebration.
- July 26: Nevis honours its cultural trailblazers at the Golden Jubilee Awards Ceremony, recognizing individuals and organizations contributing to the island’s cultural legacy.
- July 28: The Ms. Culture Swimwear and Mr. Kool will be organised for participants to showcase their talent and flair.
- July 29: Poets take centre stage in the historic squares of Nevis, captivating audiences with their lyrical and thought-provoking verses.
- July 30: The island’s young talents shine in the Mr. and Miss Talented Youth Pageant, showcasing their creativity and skill in a spirited competition.
- July 31: Nevisians come together for a homecoming celebration and gala, reconnecting friends and family to celebrate their shared heritage.
- August 1: The Junior Cultural Street Parade fills the streets with excitement, followed by the Social Monarch Contest where performers vie for the title of Soca Monarch.
- August 2: Poets again take center stage, followed by the Senior Calypso Finals, where seasoned performers compete for the title of Calypso Monarch.
- August 3: The Culturama 50 Art, Craft, and Culture Food Festival showcases the island’s artistic talents and culinary delights, culminating in the Culturama 50 Emancipation Concert.
- August 4: The search for the next Ms. Culture Queen culminates in a dazzling pageant that celebrates beauty, grace, and cultural pride.
- August 5: Revellers take to the streets for the Emancipation J’ouvert Jump Up, a joyful celebration of freedom and unity.
- August 6: The grand finale of Nevis Culturama 2024 unfolds with the Culturama 50 Street Parade and Last Lap, a dazzling display of music, dance, and revelry that brings the festival to a close.
