Miami, Florida: St Kitts and Nevis’ local talents performed on the international stage at Revive Miami, marking a historic moment for St Kitts and Nevis. Their performance brought the true essence of Sugar Mas to Miami.
The musical event that was held at the Fancy Loaf Lounge on Sunday, October 13, 2024 brought pure, authentic St Kitts and Nevis vibes with some of the island’s best entertainers that performed live all night.
The musical event began around 9 pm where the Street Vybz Sound created a whole vibe and filled the attendees with excitement for the rest of the event. The event then saw a great music environment and people grooved on the beats of DJ Dre, Odisi Band, Deejay Smudge, Dejour, and Hell Fire.
AkaiiUSweet and DJ Tero & Friends took over the stage and entertainment duty around the midnight and filled the event with electrifying beats which left them moving and swinging.
The Revival Miami concluded with Kollision Band representing the spirit of Sugar Mas and the energy and culture of St Kitts and Nevis.
Notably, the Minister of Creative Economy Samal Duggins took his Facebook to acknowledge the Kittian performers and noted that “We Truly Brought the Essence of Sugar Mas to Miami!”
Minister Duggins shared glimpses of the event and extended huge commendations to all the musicians and performers for representing the nation with unmatched pride and making Revive Miami a massive success.
Significantly, this moment marked a new chapter for the local creatives, proving that the talent is not just for home, but is ready for the world. “This was a commitment I made coming into this role – that our local talent would be exported – and commitment kept,” expressed Creative Minister Samal Duggins with pride.
Additionally, the Minister of Creative Economy extended special thanks to Fancy Loaf, the Department of Creative Economy, St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee, and DJ Tero for spearheading this initiative. Their collective dedication is promoting the culture globally.
