Reserve members of the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) have completed a swimming assessment. The assessments of the soldiers was conducted on Saturday, July 25 at the Coast Guard Base.
The St Kitts and Nevis Defence Force has shared the images of the assessment and summer training on their social media. They also shared an official statement sharing updates on the successful completion of the assessment of the SKNDF reserve forces.
The swimming based assessment was part of the Force’s Annual Summer Training Programme. The authorities have also confirmed that this was a very important part of the the Reserves’ annual training schedule. The training is aimed towards making sure that the members maintain the physical fitness, confidence, and operational skills required to support the Regular Force in any environment.
To this affect the St Kitts and Nevis Defence Force has reaffirmed their commitment to developing their personnel to remain ready for national service.
“From land to sea, the SKNDF remains committed to developing capable, adaptable, and mission-ready personnel,” the SKNDF said in a statement.
The authorities have asserted the importance of the training programme and the inclusion of the reserves in the security of the island and its people.
The assessment is a vital and integral part of the Defence Force and the SKNDF Reserves play a critical role in reinforcing the Regular Force during national emergencies, security operations, disaster response, and other essential missions.
“Continuous training ensures they remain ready to answer the call whenever duty demands,” the SKNDF said.
SKNDF have encouraged all the Reserves to make every effort to attend and actively participate in all Annual Training activities. The officials have shared that consistent attendance is essential to maintaining operational readiness and professional standards.
The SKNDF also reiterated its commitment to building a professional, modern, and well-trained force dedicated to safeguarding the Federation.
