Jaylen Bennett and T’anna Liburd of St Kitts and Nevis are all set to represent St Kitts and Nevis at the upcoming World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru.

This significant Championship is scheduled to take place from August 27 to 31st, 2024. The exceptionally talented duo is set to compete in the male and female 400 meters events.

According to the information, Jaylen Bennett is said to perform at 11:25 a.m., whereas, T’anna Liburd will be competing at 12:00 noon tomorrow, August 28th.

Significantly, the St Kitts and Nevis delegation is led by head coach Timothy Morton, who has been supporting in preparing the young athletes for this renowned global competition.

As the duo is set to represent the nation globally, Minister of Sports, Samal Duggins took his Facebook to extend warm wishes and luck for their game.

He noted that being the Minister of Sports, it is with great pride that he extends his best wishes and congratulations to Jaylen Bennett and T’anna Liburd as they prepare to represent St Kitts and Nevis at the Championship.

 

Minister Samal Duggins additionally noted that, “Their dedication, hard work, and determination have brought them to this prestigious level, and I have no doubt that they will make us all proud.”

“To Jaylen and T’anna, know that the entire nation is behind you. Go out there and give it your all,” the Minister of Sports mentioned while wishing best of luck to the competitors.
