Norgen Maxwell Wilson was recently appointed as the non-resident Ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis. The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela received the newly appointed Ambassador on Monday, March 13, 2023. During the meeting, Ambassador Maxwell presented his credentials to the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
Various government officials and other dignitaries accompanied the President during the presentation of the Ambassador’s credentials. The President also shared the meeting and credentials presentation ceremony update on his social media account. On his social media, the President welcomed Ambassador Norgen Maxwell Wilson to the homeland of Bolivar and Chavez!
During the ceremony, Venezuela shared their commitment to strengthening the two countries relationship. As the representative of St Kitts and Nevis, Ambassador Maxwell is responsible for representing the interest of his home country with the people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. In the tenure of his duty, the non-resident Ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis to Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the government entrusted him with the following responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation of foreign policy priorities of St Kitts and Nevis
- promote and maintain diplomatic and friendly relations with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
- undertake the coordination of consular matters and services
- explore avenues for trade promotion
- Explore educational opportunities for the people of St Kitts and Nevis.
When Ambassador Norgen Maxwell Wilson presented his credentials to the President, Nicolas Maduro, the President was accompanied by several important dignitaries and government officials, including his wife, Cilia Flores, and The minister of foreign affairs, Yvan Gil. Dr Melissa Cable-Wilson, the wife of Ambassador Wilson, was also present at the momentous occasion to support and applaud her husband.
