After the formal announcement of the date for the general elections of St Kitts and Nevis on Sunday, the Political Leader of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party, Dr Terrance Drew, addressed the public a day later.

Terrance Drew will be filing his nomination on 26 July 2022, at 10:00 AM from Constituency 8 at the St. Peter’s Communnity Center.

In his address, Terrance Drew said that the seven years of PM Dr Timothy Harris’ “Team Unity” administration are ending on election day. “An experiment marked by scandals, corruption and greed; the election is ending these seven years of suppression and oppression of our people.” He added.

“The moment of our liberation is near,” He said, “but it will require each one of us, every Comrade and every Patriot of our beloved country, to take a stand in the fight.”

Dr Drew urged the citizens to vote for the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) on Election Day, Friday, 5th August 2022,” in a radio broadcast on three local radio stations on Monday afternoon.

He added that the nation had had the front row seat and made front page news on a regional and international level as the world witnessed the disputes and disagreements between the warring factions of Team Unity.

He commented on widespread unrest in the country under the present leadership, as accusations and counter-accusations of corruption, greed and incompetence were thrown back and forth among the leaders. All this while, important matters of state, governance, and the people of St. Kitts and Nevis were ignored and abandoned.

Dr Terrance Drew assured the listening audience that hope springs eternal in the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party for a brighter future.

He told listeners that the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party, in pursuit of its motto “For the Good that We Can Do”, will always be the people’s voice in Parliament and will chase one vision with a truly unified and dynamic team in the Cabinet.

“With our creative mix of youth and experience, men and women with a range of professional skills, we will lead with competence, empathy, compassion, integrity, and will always ensure that, whether in good times or in bad times, our great country will always grow,” said Terrance Drew, assuring his listeners of his commitment to the country’s well-being.

He declared that no other government would be eclipsed by corruption, greed and misconduct and that integrity in public life would be his administration’s hallmark as the people deserve nothing less.
