St Kitts is hosting the artists’ reveal for the twenty-fifth edition of theAnnual St Kitts Music Festival. The authorities involved in the execution of the St Kitts Music Festival chose St Kitts Eco Park to host the reveal event. The event was held on Sunday, March 5, 2023, and featured glimpses of the talents of several artists and musicians who will participate in the Music Festival.
The 25th Annual St Kitts Music Festival will commence from June 22, 2023, to June 24, 2023. The first wave of artists and musicians who announced their participation during the annual music festival included the names of popular music artists, including:
- Skinny Fabulous
- Valiant
- Grand Masters Band
- Govana
- Byron Messia
- Air Supply
- Skillibeng
- Patrice Roberts
- Chronixx
- Koffee
All these artists are music industry experts and have featured in several national, regional and international level music festivals. The event featured several locals and regional music lovers who graced the eco park to witness the reveal of the music festival lineup. They interacted with the media about their experience. The official Facebook page of the St Kitts Music Festival was also flooded with social media users expressing their excitement and opinions regarding the first wave of the line-up.
Meanwhile, the official page of the St Kitts Music festival shared that this lineup celebrates diversity, creativity, and pure musical magic. The ten artists featured in the first wave of the reveal, and more musicians’ names will feature in the subsequent editions. Some social media users from the region have expressed hope of seeing renowned music artists like Rihanna and Burna Boy feature in the next lineup announcements.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, Senior Politician and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas and other political leaders of St Kitts and Nevis took to their respective social media to share their excitement about hosting the 25th edition of the Annual St Kitts Music Festival. The leaders invited the people of St Kitts and Nevis to enjoy the festivities at the echo park.
Dr Terrance Drew shared a Facebook post featuring the complete video of the event. This assisted the people who could not enjoy the live event to avoid missing out on the exciting event.
The St Kitts Music Festival started 25 years ago under the Labour Administration led by Dr Denzil Douglas. It was the brainchild of Dwyer Astaphan (former Minister of Tourism). It was fully supported and funded by the Government since it saw the Returns and Benefits to the Economy and, by extension, the People of St Kitts and Nevis. June is normally a slow season for tourists’ arrival, so the music festival was meant to provide additional income to our People.
