St Kitts and Nevis welcomed thousands of visitors with the arrival of the five cruise ships in Basseterre on Tuesday. This marks a significant achievement for the Tourism sector in the year 2024.
As per the Schedule for February 2024 by the St Kitts Tourism Ministry, the four cruises scheduled for Tuesday were Club Med 2, Aida Luna, Explorer of the Seas, and Evrima. While the other Cruise docked on the shores of the Island was among the ones postponed amid the uncertain weather conditions in the nation.
Upon their arrival, the visitors had a chance to explore the naturalistic bounties of the island and engage in several fun-filled activities, food, and refreshments.
Notably, to date, the nation has received over 10 cruise calls to its shores in the month of February. While on the previous month, over 50 cruise ships graced the island shores with their warm arrival.
The Club Med 2 is a remarkable sailing cruise ship that combines modern technology with classic elegance. The Cruise was first built in 1992 by Ateliers et Chantiers du Havre in Le Havre, France. The Cruise has the Capacity to carry over 390 passengers comfortably. It has a team of 214 crew members, which works to ensure that all its guests are served with a delicate experience.
Another Cruise, AID Aluna is a magnificent cruise ship operated by AIDA Cruises, which was built in 2009. The Cruise has a capacity of carrying 2,050 guests positively.
The Cruise also ensures its customers with royal class accommodation and itineraries, including a 2,300 m2 spa facility, 7 classic restaurants and 4D cinemas with well-equipped moving chairs and theatres.
Explorer of the Seas is the largest cruise, operated by Royal Caribbean International. This Cruise has the boasting capacity of carrying over 3000 cruise passengers and ensures their comfortable stay. It has a capacity of carrying 1000+ crew members.
The Cruise presents its customers with multiple opportunities and a world of Thrilling Adventures. Some of the activities, the ship provides to its customers include a Flow Rider surf simulator, a Rock-Climbing Wall, and The Perfect Storm—the boldest waterslide duo at sea.
Moreover, the other upcoming cruises to the ports of St Kitts and Nevis are Seaburn Ovation, Celebrity Ascent, Aida Diva, and Viking Sea among others.
