St Kitts and Nevis received about 1438 visitors, comprising 940 cruise passengers and 498 cruise members, with the arrival of the Spirit of Discovery in Charlestown, St Kitts and Nevis on Monday.

As per the information, this is the largest cruise in this year’s cruise schedule of the island, with a huge capacity of 999 passengers and a capacity of 530 crew members.

Upon the arrival of the cruise, the Tourism Ministry in Nevis hosted a welcome ceremony and extended a warm welcome to the visitors. During the ceremony, the visitors had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fun activities and explore the naturalistic bounties of this captivating twin-island nation.

Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley, and also the Minister of Tourism, was delighted with the call of the cruise. He warmly welcomed the cruise and said this is the outcome of the government’s tireless efforts and contributions to the nation and its tourism sector.

He also ensured the people continued to present the people with the best services, bringing economic opportunities to them. “Our efforts in tourism continue to bear fruit, and we are seeing increased numbers of visitors to our shores. I implore our people to continue to give their best service and to position themselves so they can benefit from the economic opportunities that this presents. We are growing Nevis together,” he added.

Notably, Spirit of Adventure offers the visitors with an all-inclusive luxury cruise experience. The ship was built with discerning passengers in mind, including speciality restaurants, a large selection of all-balcony rooms and suites, and exceptional customer service.

Further, As per the Nevis Cruise Schedule for February 2024, two cruise ships, including Marella Discovery and Evrima, will dock at the shores of the island on the following day, Tuesday.

On Thursday, the nation will welcome about three cruises to touch its gracious shores with the arrival of Marella Voyager, Sea Cloud 2 and Windsurf, carrying many cruise guests and visitors worldwide.

This highlights the expansion of the tourism sector, which will continue for another year. Till now, the nation has received around ten cruises to its coastlines. These cruises are Icon of the Seas, MSC Seaside, Celebrity Ascent, Explorer of the Seas, Mein Schiff 4, Viking Sea, Anthem of the Seas, etc.
