St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis is all set to host the 12th Annual Conference of the Caribbean Society of Endoscopic Surgeons for the very first time and is scheduled to take place from November 12th to 16th, 2024.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew shared the information about the Annual Conference and noted that this marks a historic moment as it is the first time that the Federation is hosting this event.
He expressed with proud that with the establishment of the modern endoscopic unit, the Ministry of Health and the JNF General Hospital will host the conference bringing prestigious surgeons from across the Caribbean to the island of St Kitts and Nevis.
PM Terrance Drew also said that the anchoring of this event by St Kitts and Nevis emphasises on the rapid transformation of the health sector for the benefit of the people of the nation. “Heath is truly on the move,” he added.
Additionally, the Prime Minister extended gratitude to the Surgical Department at JNF Hospital, especially Dr Joylette Woodley and Dr Mark Grant for their dedication and commitment. He also thanked the Social Security Board for their assistance.
Significantly, the theme for this year’s Caribbean Endoscopic Surgeons Conference is “Back to Basics” which will explore the future of endoscopic surgery and innovations in the field.
The conference will be hosted at the JNF General Hospital with key guest speakers presenting their address. Notably, the special guest speakers include Professor David Rosin, Live Surgery Host and Dr Patrick Fasioen Surgical Safety in Laparoscopy. Both of these guests will present their address on November 14th, 2024.
To share about key points on the Environmental Sustainability, Professor Patricia Sylla will be presenting her address on November 15th, 2024.
