St Kitts and Nevis Islands welcomed the Icon of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship. This step marked a great milestone for the SKN tourism industry.
The Icon of the Seas was navigated to the picturesque shores by St Kitts and Nevis’s own Pilot, Liddell Harvey. The Icon of the Sea made its first stop in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The St Kitts and Nevis’s esteemed political members took their time and explored the Icon of Seas.
The prime minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, addressed the crowd at the Icon of The Seas Inaugural Cruise.
The prime minister of SKN, Dr Terrance Drew, applauded the arrival of the Icon of The Seas, the world’s largest cruise vessel, as a significant milestone that illustrates St Kitts and Nevis’ ascent as a leading cruise destination.
PM Drew took his social media page and wrote.
”My dear people, here she comes – Icon of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship. This is a very proud moment for our Federation. Let’s all make this an epic one”.
Additionally, PM Drew applauded Minister of Tourism Marsha T. Henderson and the Ministry of Tourism for their hard work and thanked Royal Caribbean for partnering with the twin islands.
Samal Duggins, minister of Agriculture, fisheries, marine, resources, entrepreneurship, creativity, economy, and cooperatives, also took to his Facebook page and expressed great joy at welcoming the world’s largest cruise.
”Equally rewarding was witnessing the energetic hustle and bustle of our taxi men and tour operators at Port Zante, contributing to the economic vitality of St. Kitts and Nevis” noted Minister Duggins
