The Minister of Creative Economy in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Samal Duggins, recently arranged an activity with the country’s students who recieved the Samal Duggins Finding Your Passion Scholarship. The students engaged in trying various kinds of Indian dishes as a bonding experience. The Minister of Sports and the creative economy also took the social media account to share glimpses of this event on their social media account.
The Minister said they had initially arranged a culinary class with the students. However, due to the warning of inclement weather, they had to postpone the course. In place of the culinary exercise, the Samal Duggins Finding Your Passion Scholarship recipients engaged in trying the Indian dishes. The practice allowed the students to engage in a fruitful discussion about their lives and aspirations.
The Minister of Creative Economy in the government of St Kitts and Nevis spent a significant amount of time in the company of the students. The group discussed several critical matters about the future of the students. The Minister sponsors the education of these students from his constituency through the scolarship.
Notably, Minister Samal Duggins shared that many of the children had yet to try Indian food. He explained that he was delighted while observing their reactions to the food. During the interaction, he took the opportunity to take their feedback and learn more about them as young people. He praised the students who were a part of his expedition to the Indian food-tasting exercise. He shared that these students are smart, driven, adventurous and funny.
Minster Duggins extended his gratitude to the students and recipients of the scholarship: Haley, Orrin, Anthony and Kaaliyah and their parents for making moments like this possible.
