The prime minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, took to his social media account to extend his deepest condolences to the Former Governor General of the country. The Prime Minister took to his social media account to share his condolences on the family of the former national leader.
The Prime Minister stated that he signed the book of condolences along with the prominent community members of St Kitts and Nevis. The prime minister’s cabinet members and other members of the government of St Kitts and Nevis have come forward to sign the book of condolences. The book of condolences was kept in the Government House before the state funeral of the country’s governor-general.
Governor-General Samuel Tapley Seaton was the forth and former governor-general of St Kitts and Nevis. He passed away on June 29, 2023. The Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew took to his social media account to share the experience from signing the book of condolences ahead of the state funeral.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew stated that he joined citizens and residents from across the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis today to sign the official Book of Condolences in honour of the late Samuel Weymouth Tapley Seaton, former Governor-General of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
The Book of Condolence was at Government House for the Lying-in-State until 1:00 PM. The State Funeral with full military honours for the former Governor-General commenced at 2:00 PM at the Zoon Moravian Church on Victoria Road, Basseterre.
