The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, has taken to his social media account to share his best wishes on July 4, 2023, to mark the occasion of CARICOM Day. The prime minister is currently in the port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, for the three-day meeting of the Forty-Fifth (45th) Regular Meeting of the Conference of the Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
The meeting started on July 3, 2023, and will conclude on July 5, 2023. In the meantime, the people of St Kitts and Nevis hosted a recent celebration in honour of the fiftieth anniversary of CARICOM. The prime minister announced that July 4, CARICOM Day, will be a public holiday for the country’s people. Accordingly, the country has hosted the CARICOM experience.
The team of organizers promised an enjoyable and entertaining CARICOM day on July 4. Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew invited all the country’s people to attend the event in large numbers. The celebratory event was hosted at Independence Square in Basseterre, where all the country’s people came together to celebrate 50 years since the establishment of CARICOM.
The organizers shared the veterinary of events scheduled for the celebration, dubbed the CARICOM experience. The celebratory event includes a food fair and entertainment. The musical pioneers of the island nation, including the Musical Ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis to CARICOM, Infamus, provided the entertainment for the event.
The entertainment effort was assisted ably by the other artists of St Kitts and Nevis, including Erica Edwards, DeJour DJ Tero and EK. Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew acknowledged the day’s significance and shared his best wishes on CARICOM Day for all the nationals and citizens of St Kitts and Nevis.
