St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew visited the Construction site at St Peter’s Main Road and FT Williams Highway. He was delighted to see the development and progress of the site carried out by the contractors efficiently.

In a social media post on Wednesday, PM Drew shared some glimpses of the site and mentioned, “Earlier today I visited St. Peter’s Main Road and F. T. Williams Highway where the Road Rehabilitation Project is taking place, to check on the progress and I was quite pleased.”

Further, PM Drew was assured by the contractors, Rock & Dirt Ltd., that every measure had been undertaken to ensure that the work was completed within its projected time.

Prime Minister Drew expressed his satisfaction to witness the construction with heavy equipment being undertaken continuously. He also extended his hope from this initiative to resolve the issues of the local communities once completed.

During his visit, PM Drew also met with Alexis Hazel, Owner of Rock & Dirt Limited. Hazel outlined the significant aspects of this rehabilitation project and indicated that as early as next week, they will be carrying out the work simultaneously at multiple locations to ensure greater efficiency on the project.

It is to be noted that the rehabilitation work at St Peters and FT Williams has been undergoing for over a year in St Kitts and Nevis. Last year, in August 2023, PM Drew announced the construction of the site as a part of his dedication and promise to facilitate his people.

“I made a promise to the people that we would take swift action on this project once elected. True to our word, we’re not only stepping up to the challenge but actively making headway to fulfill this promise. The road to progress is now being paved tangibly for all those in this region. This marks the embodiment of our ethos – “A New Day, A Better Way.” Through action, we’re bringing positive change to your everyday lives,” he added while marking the beginning of the construction.
