Ambassador of St. Kitts and Nevis’ High Commissioner in Ottawa, Canada, Her Excellency Sherry Tross, procured more than 3000 kilograms of green-certified lotion, hand sanitizers, soaps, and concentrated disinfectant for use in nursing homes and hospitals across the Federation.
At a handing over ceremony which was on Monday, August 31, the Honourable Mark Brantley, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Aviation, praised the good work of the High Commissioner and others and noted that they continue to work for the good of the people of the Federation.
He said that he would like to congratulate Her Excellency Sherry Tross and the members of the St. Kitts and Nevis community in Canada and the diaspora because they continue to show that wherever they are, their hearts and minds continue to be in St. Kitts and Nevis.
He said that he wanted to thank High Commissioner Tross for the initiative which she has put in place to leverage the humanitarian and other support for St. Kitts and Nevis in this difficult time.
The honourable minister said that the supplies would prove to be beneficial for health facilities in the Federation.
The minister said that St. Kitts and Nevis continues to fight against COVID-19. Despite the success which it has had so far, he thinks that everyone understands that the Federation cannot rest on its laurels but must continue the fight against the disease which has changed the world.
Minister Brantley said towards the end that H.E. Tross and other Ambassadors of St Kitts and Nevis around the world continue to give excellent service to the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
