The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States is gearing up to celebrate the 42nd Anniversary of its establishment to work for the regional integration of the eastern Caribbean nations. In the lineup of celebrations, the organization is hosting a discussion panel under the theme of The OECS Integration Movement: Our History, Our Achievements, Our Future.
The panel will discuss the history of the establishment and the work that the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States has done in over four decades of its existence. The topic of discussion will also touch on the organization’s achievements and plans for the future. St Kitts and Nevis will play host to the The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States during the event in their capacity as the founding members.
The significant event will occur on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation Studios. The show will run from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The event will be a prominent part of the 42nd-anniversary celebration, and several other events will precede or follow. The celebration events are being hosted under the main theme of the OECS celebration ‘Vision. Integration. Sustainability.’
The discussion panel will consist of the following significant high-ranking members of the OECS, including Director General of the OECS, Dr Didacus Jules, St Kitts and Nevis Commissioner to the OECS, Larry Vaughan, The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States integrationist Frances-Ann Satney. The panel will also consist of Kara Daly Ferdinand, a youth parliamentarian.
