Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: The Minister of Agriculture, Samal Duggins extended an invitation to all the mothers of Constituency #4 on the occasion of Mother’s Day Sunset Soiree at Green Tree Lawn on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
The attendees are asked to wear Brightly coloured dress code to commemorate the celebrations in a grand style. On Mother’s Day, the special attention will be given to comforts and facilities of all the women during the event.
The festivities will feature the electrifying and mesmerising performances of various artists including the following:
- DEJOUR
- DJ SMOKE
- EK THE REAL RIGHT
- JNYSIS BAND
The women are cordially invited on the occasion of Mother’s Day. As the day progresses, the mothers will get an opportunity to experience the vibrant culture and grand celebration. There will be a display of variety of scrumptious and aromatic food to choose from in the Live Food Station.
Some of the other highlights of the celebration include the Signature Cocktails and Mother’s Day Gift Shop. Moms will find the ultimate relaxation at the “Moms Massage Station” that will rejuvenate them and give them a break from their day-to-day work.
Minister Duggins took to his official social media handle (Facebook) to share the details of the Mother’s Day Sunset Soiree with the general public.
“Hey Moms of Constituency Four. Don’t miss the upcoming Mother’s Day Sunset Soiree to be held at Green Tree Lawns on Saturday, May 11 at 4:00 pm. Enjoy a pampering afternoon with live food stations, cocktails, a Mom’s Massage Station and a Mother’s Day Gift Shop. Celebrate motherhood in style and join us for an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait to see you there,” the agriculture minister said.
This year, the International Mother’s Day will be celebrated on May 12, 2024. The day is marked as an auspicious occasion, especially for children, to honour and appreciate the existence of mother in their lives. It is celebrated across the globe to recognise the motherhood and its influence in the society.
Additionally, the Mother’s Day was first celebrated in US on 1908 by a woman named Anna Jarvis, a peace activist worked for the welfare of the society. She wished to honour her mother and declared the day as Mother’s Day.
