The preparation for the 53rd edition of the National Carnival of St. Kitts and Nevis have started. The St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC) has already opened the registrations for various events that will be held during the Christmas themed carnival.

The artists of St. Kitts and Nevis are reminded to secure their spot for Sugar Mas 53 Events as the deadline is just two days away. The individuals can register themselves by directly visiting the official website of carnival committee i.e., www.skncarnival.com OR they may also visit the National Carnival Secretariat.

It is to be noted that the series of festivities will take place from Dec 13, 2024 to January 2, 2025. Following are the events whose registration deadline closes this Friday.

  • Panorama
  • Jouvertt & Grand Parade Troupes
  • Individual Mas
  • Private Events
  • Hi-Fi System
  • Senior & Junior Calypso
  • Soca Monarch

Sugar Mas 53 offers a great opportunity to all the individuals, and artists across the region to create a history, showcase their talent and artistic prowess and earn a valuable experience. The excitement doesn’t stop here, as the contestants and winners will be honoured with amazing prizes.

It is considered as one of the most anticipated and ceremonial events on the island, which celebrates the culture and traditions of the country for over a half century. The festivities attract a huge number of visitors in the nation, which boost the tourism sector of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Additionally, the members of St. Kitts and Nevis Carnival disclosed that the carnival was established in the twin-island Federation in 1957. The carnival celebrations expanded to include various community events such as Calypso contests, pageants and Soca.
