Minister Marsha Henderson undergoes surgery, PM Drew wishes speedy recovery image: facebook

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Terrence Drew took to his social media to update the nation about the current health status of St Kitts, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, International Transport, Employment and Labour, and Urban Development, The Minister Marsha Henderson. On November 1st at night, the Minister underwent emergency surgery, and the procedure was successful.

“At this time, I would like to express my well wishes and convey the collective prayers of our Government and the People of Saint Kitts and Nevis for her swift and complete recovery. The Minister has been a dedicated public servant and a driving force behind the development and progress of our nation. Her health and well-being are of utmost importance to us all”, said PM Drew.

PM Drew has urged the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis to kindly respect her privacy and that of her family during this period. He added that he understand the concern and care the citizens have for her, but it is crucial that she should be allowed the time and space to heal without unnecessary intrusion.

Prime Minister drew praised the team of the federation ,he highlighted that they were strong and capable team, and the work of the Ministries she holds will continue smoothly in her absence.

“I have full confidence in the competence of our colleagues and the dedication of our public servants to ensure that the vital functions continue without disruption”. Quoted from PM Drew’s words.

In his closing statement he encouraged the people of St Kitts and Nevis to keep Minister Marsha Henderson in their thoughts and prayers as she embarks on her journey to recovery.

He urged people to support  her and wish her well as a collective nation as it  will undoubtedly contribute to her healing and her return to her duties with renewed strength.
