Nevis: The Homecoming Day Celebration invited the citizens of Nevis who reside in foreign countries on July 31, 2024, during the ongoing 50th anniversary of Culturama Festival 2024.

The festival kicked off at 10 in the morning and culminated by 5 pm at the Nevisian Heritage Village, Fothergill’s Estate, Gingerland.

The entry for the people was  absolutely free and the event featured activities including food and culinary delights.

For the entertainment, exciting and energetic performances by Kasonova Band, String Band, Madlinks Sounds, Masquerade and more were be featured. Their performances filled the audience of the Nevis with joy.

The event was hosted under the patronage of the First Federal Cooperative Credit Union Ltd. where the residents from across the nation and beyond were invited to celebrate the culture of Nevis at the Culturama Festival.

The local food was served at the stalls in the celebration, underscoring the unique cuisine of Nevis which also included the mango- island’s most celebrated food.

The unique variety of food consisted of the Potato Pudding, Hot Bread and Butter, Coconut Tarts, and other locally created delicacies. Considerably, the food items were available at a sale for the visitors.

The Ministry of Tourism shared a live video from the Homecoming Celebration and showed how the Nevisians enjoyed the vibes.

The Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley also made an appeal through his official social media to the citizens residing in other countries to return home as this is a great time to spend time with family and friends.

Notably, Heritage Village homecoming Day is a part of the Culturama festival 2024 with the staging of unique pageants and other exclusive cultural events.
