The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevie, Dr Geoffrey Hanley, who is also responsible for the ministries of Education; Youth Empowerment; Social Development, Gender Affairs, Aging and Disabilities; Ecclesiastical and Faith-based Affairs; Housing & Human Settlement, has called for a meeting with all the faith-based leaders in St Kitts and nevis.
Dr Geoffrey took to his social media account to share some updates on his social media regarding the. Meeting. He also shared some images of the conference on his social media. He wrote:
Today, Wednesday, January 25, 2023, I met with more than 70 officials at the People’s Evangelistic Centre at Needsmust. Dr Hanley wrote that The meeting between the Minister of Faith-based affairs and the Faith-based leaders reconfirmed our Government’s commitment to improving the partnership with all religious organizations.
Meanwhile, during the meeting, Dr Geoffrey Hanley took the opportunity to introduce the new Permanent secretary of Ecclesiastical and Faith-based affairs. Elrether Simpson- Browne was appointed as the permanent secretary.
Brenda Boncamper, Permanent Secretary of Housing and Human Settlement, also joined the Minister of Ecclesiastical and Faith-based Affairs for the meeting. The faith-based leaders and the Government of St Kitts and Nevis reached a great understanding during the session.
The Minister of faith-based affairs is committed to promoting a greater understanding between the Government of St Kitts and Nevis and the people of all faiths and communities. Meanwhile, the Minister of Ecclesiastical and Faith-based Affairs has called for all the people of St Kitts and Nevis.
Minister Geoffrey Hanley has called for All Faith-Based organizations to participate in the National Day of Prayer for our families, communities and nation. The prayer will take place on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. As per Minister Geoffrey Hanley, the prayer meeting will be an occasion for our voices to unite in prayer and praise to bless our nation abundantly.
