The East Zone 2 Public Primary School Championship began on Friday, January 17, 2025, and has recently concluded with St Paul’s Primary School winning with 27 gold, 18 silver, and 12 bronze medals.
The competition featured four (4) schools – Edgar T. Morris Primary School, Dieppe Bay Primary School, Saddlers Primary School, and St Paul’s Primary School.
The East Zone 2 Public Primary School Championship was held at the Saddlers Sporting Complex, Saddlers Village, St Kitts, and included track and field games like distance running, relay races, throwing events, jumping events, and many more.

St Paul’s Primary School came first with the highest count of medals, including 27 gold, 18 silver, and 12 bronze medals.
Saddlers Primary School followed with 5 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze medals, with Edgar T. Morris Primary School won 3 gold, 7 silver, and 8 bronze medals, along with Dieppe Bay Primary School winning 3 gold, 6 silver, and 13 bronze medals.
Ministers praise the young talents
Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Denzil Llewellyn Douglas congratulated all the winners and participants for their contribution and hard work in making this championship a grand success.
He also shared some glimpses of the championship on his Facebook page, while praising the idea of such championships, calling them a great platform for the youth to show their talent, skills, abilities, and capabilities.
Minister of Sports and Creative Economy Samal Duggins also congratulated all the participants, coaches, teachers, and parents, while giving special acknowledgement to Shawn Morrishaw, who contributed to the sports community, becoming this year’s patron at the competition.
