Denzil Douglas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the government of St Kitts and Nevis met with the met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, on the sidelines of the 55th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States.
The meeting was hosted in Antigua and Barbuda and was a platform for crucial discussions on the international geopolitics. The event was marked by several international leaders meeting and discussing collaboration opportunities.
During this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Denzil Douglas took the opportunity to highlight that they are looking for deeper international ties with Serbia. The President of the National Assembly of St Kitts and Nevis, Lanien Blanchet travelled to Serbia for several productive engagements.
The Serbian Minister said that he was happy to recieve the President of the National Assembly of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Lanien Blanchette in his country. He noted that during her visit, Blanchette attended several productive meetings and crucial meetings in the region.
The officials have shared that it is important for the leaders to make sure that they can work with other nations internationally as well as regionally. The Minister of Foreign Affairs has invited Dr Denzil Douglas to Serbia for a diplomatic trip.
The two leaders discussed the ways in which they can continue to deepen the diplomatic ties between Serbia and St Kitts and Nevis. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, invited St Kitts and Nevis to participate in Expo 2027.
This is a specialized international exhibition, which Minister Đurić hopes will also be attended by several other national leaders from the Caribbean region. The Minister from Serbia has claimed that he wants the Expo 2027 to be a remarkable success.
