The Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas, has come out on his social media account to extend greetings on the occasion of the world day of the Midwife. The senior leader of the government of St Kitts and Nevis, who is currently in the United Kingdom for the coronation ceremony of King Charles III, shared some images on his social media where he was posing with the women who have served as a midwife for several years in the country.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs wrote on his social media account Today, Friday, May 5, We want to turn our attention to and express our Appreciation to our Midwives at the Hospitals and Community Health Centers across St. Kitts Nevis and the World at large. The International community hosted the 2023 edition of the International Day of the Midwife under the theme: Together Again: From Evidence to Reality.
Minister Denzil Douglas shared some images of himself posing with the midwives that have served in the various healthcare sector in the community. The former prime Minister of the country applauded the contribution of the healthcare workers in the country.

We are reminded daily of the importance of Midwives among us, who skillfully assist in the delivery and care of babies, whether through spontaneous delivery or by caesarean section. He explained on his social media Midwives are vitally important.
