The Minister of foreign affairs in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas, took to his social media to congratulate a Jahzara Claxton for her performance in the recent Track and Field Inter school championship. The Jahzara is one of St Kitts and Nevis’s most prominent sports personalities. She is still a school. However, she is a very important part of St Kitts and Nevis’s cricket and football teams.
The sportswoman has represented St Kitts and Nevis in several regonal and international sporting events. Recently, Jahzara competed in the inter school Track and Field Championship and emerged as the winner of the U18 Female Champion and Victrix Ludorum, of the Charles E Mills Secondary School.
As per the update shared by Dr Denzil Douglas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International trade, commerce and Industry, who is the parliamentary representative of Constituency 6, Jahzara Claxton was once again declared the U18 Female Champion and the Victrix Ludorum. She won in the 100m and 400m hurdles, Long Jump She also set a new record in Javelin Throw.
The senior Minister, Dr Denzil Douglas, informed the people of St Kitts and Nevis that the Multi-Talented Athlete would be among the 20-Member Team of Athletes to represent St Kitts and Nevis at the 50th CARIFTA Games. The event will take place from Friday, April 7, 2023, to Monday, April 10, 2023, at the Thomas A Robinson National Stadium in Nassau, Bahamas.
He added that Jahzara would be competing in the following events during the CARIFTA Games: 100m hurdles, long jump, high jump, shot put, 200m, 800m and Javelin Throw. The Minister asserted that We could only expect great performances from her and other St Kitts and Nevis Team members during the competition.
The Minister of foreign affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas made it a point to hype up the good performers of the federation and give them the motivation that they deserve for representing the country in the various regional, national and international competitions.
