The Concerned Citizens Movement hosted a large-scale swearing-in ceremony at the ETW park on Sunday, December 18, 2022. During the event, The Concerned Citizen Movement also announced the cabinet and their ministerial portfolio for the Nevis Island Assembly.
The leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement, Mark Brantley, who swore in as the Premier of Nevis on December 14, 2022, invited the people of Nevis to attend the swearing-in ceremony for the cabinet and the unveiling of their ministerial portfolios.
The Ministerial Portfolios of the various leaders of the Concerned Citizens Movement are as follows:
The leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement, and people’s representative from electoral district 2, Mark Brantley, was entrusted with the following responsibilities in the cabinet for the Nevis Island Assembly.
He swore into the position of the Premier of Nevis on December 14, 2022
On December 18, he took up the responsibilities of the Minister of Finance, Statistics, Economic Planning, Human Resources, Industry, Trade and Consumer Affairs, Tourism, Public Utilities and Energy, Foreign Investments, Government Information Service and Nevis Television.
Eric R Evelyn, the people’s representative from electoral district 3, was given the responsibility of the Deputy Premier of Nevis. Additionally, he was appointed the Minister of Agriculture, Lands, Natural Resources, Fisheries, Cooperatives, Culture and Housing.
Spencer Brand, The people’s representative from Electoral District 1, was entrusted with the responsibilities of the Minister of Communications, Works, Water Services, Physical Planning and Environment, Posts, Labour and Disaster.
Additionally, the Concerned Citizens Movement appointed two senators to the cabinet of the Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley. Troy J.T. Liburd was entrusted with the following ministerial responsibilities:
Responsibility for Education, Information Technology, Library Services, Youth and Sports
The Final Member of the Premier of Nevis’ Cabinet was Jahnel Nisbett. She is the Senator with ministerial responsibility for Health, Gender Affairs, Community Affairs and Social Services.
The Cabinet of the Premier will work closely with the Leader of CCM, Premier Mark Brantley in the Nevis Island Assembly.
