The Budget Boost Wallet (BBW) Programme that was launched on January 11, 2025, has been already registered by over 15,000 individuals.

The government of St Kitts and Nevis launched this initiative to help low and middle income citizens and residents financially, with a set target of benefitting at least 22,000 citizens across the Federation.

Furthermore, Cabinet Minister Dr Marcus L. Natta shared an update that only two-thirds of the expected total have registered themselves for the benefits.

He added, “I’m sure that we will be impacting positively well over 50 percent of the working population and that will trickle down to persons who have children or are guardians to children.”

The update further stated that registered individuals are already receiving funds under the Budget Boost Wallet Programme via their JAD wallet accounts.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Social Development and Gender Affairs, Azilla Clarke said that they have been receiving calls from the people saying that this initiative is like a blessing for them.

She added, “Now that the funds are there it is rolling every day so as you sign up, in short order, you will get the assistance. Funds will be added to your Budget Boost Wallet once verification has been made that you are eligible and that your registration has gone through correctly.”

Secretary Clarke said that the challenges of inflation are not new to St Kitts and Nevis as it is driven by global factors and that the ones registered will soon get their funds in their JAD Wallet.
