Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has been nominated for the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award and Tribute. The award is being presented by the Most Influential People of African Descent.
This civil society organization has honoured the Prime Minister for his tireless work for the development of St Kitts and Nevis. The Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew made this announcement during the Press Conference which he had addressed with the members of his cabinet.
The Prime Minister was proud to announce that his efforts and dedicated work for the people is being acknowledged. This achievement award is given to the leaders of descent and are making a difference in the world.
The Minister highlighted that receiving this award is a matter of pride for him and the whole federation. Notably, Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis getting this remarkable honor is expected to bring the spotlight to the country.
The Prime Minister will have the opportunity to represent not only his own legacy, but also the legacy of the people of the federation. During his press conference, Dr Drew followed this announcement up with the adage: We small but we “tallawah”
This adage is an inspiring message that highlights the fact that size should not be a measure of capability. This one of the highest honours awarded by Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD).
The Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) is a a global civil society initiative which is connected with United Nations. The Prime Minister will be recognized for his contribution to the welfare of the country during MIPAD Recognition Weekend.
The ceremony will take place on September 26, 2025 at the Harvard Club in New York City. The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis will join the leagues of leaders like former President of USA, Barak Obama, who has also received this honour. This honour is also shared by leaders like President Nana Akufo-Addo, and Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus of the World Health Organization
