On Thursday, The Bahamas Ministry of Health announced that there is one new confirmed case of COVID-19 disease on Grand Bahama.

This latest case has come in the form of a 27-year-old man, and with this, the total number of cases nationwide has reached 107, with seven active cases.

Two other cases were confirmed in Grand Bahama on Wednesday.

Health officials have reminded the public to practice the following measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19:

• Wear a face mask when leaving home;

• Washing hands for with water and soap for at least 20 seconds, and using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer which has at least 70% alcohol if soap and water are not available;

• Covering your cough or sneeze in your inner elbow or with a tissue; and

• Cleaning and disinfecting the frequently touched surfaces such as phones, counters, remotes controls, doorknobs and keyboards etc.
