Jamaica: The breakthrough in the December 18, 2021 murder case in Clarendon, Jamaica came after critical evidence was unveiled by Barbados Forensics, whose detailed analysis traced how the crime unfolded.

Director of Barbados Forensic, Richard Broomes explained the report and noted, “Our team reconstructed the sequence of the shooting and confirmed the evidence, showcasing exactly how the victim was attacked. The evidence showed the wounds, the trajectory of the shots, and left no doubt about the manner of his death.

These findings were instrumental in identifying and charging the suspect.” The forensic evidence directly linked to the shooting death of 48-year-old Marlon Salmon who was a bike mechanic of Denbigh Crescent, Clarendon and also to the wounding of another man.

Following these findings, 29-year-old Jabulani Dyer, who is a labourer of Woodhall district has been charged and arrested in relation to the murder case and also to cause the serious injury to another man. In addition to that, he is also charged with murder, wounding with intent, and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

According to police officials, the incident was held around 8: 15 pm in 2021 when Salmon was standing along the Woodhall main road when armed men opened fire. The unidentified man at the time, currently known as Dyer, shot him with several fire rounds.

Due to this, Salmon was rushed to the hospital by the nearby residents where he was pronounced dead by the doctors. The police officials noted that the new development of the forensic evidence confirmed the involvement of Dyer into the murder case.

Dyer is being charged earlier when he was in custody at a St Andre lock-up on a separate charge of a similar nature. His court date is being finalized. Now, the report of the forensic has raised the suspicion and the case has started on the matter with immediate effect in Jamaica.
