The Nevis Island Administration (NIA) has honoured eleven outstanding citizens of the island nation in recognition of their contribution to society. The officers have shared that these awards signify the work that these individuals have done whose dedication, service, and achievements.
The people of Nevis were honored for their contribution to the nation in various sectors of development. The officials have shared that these awardees have significantly advanced the island’s development.
The ceremony was a part of the Federation’s 41st Independence Anniversary celebrations and paid tribute to the spirit of Nevisian excellence. The Nevisians were given national honors for their relentless service to the people of the island nation.
One of the most important parts of the country’s development is the work that has been done by the general public of the said nation. The aim of the organization is to make sure that the people get their due in appreciation and become an inspiration for the other members of the community.
The awardees were called nation builders during the presentation ceremony for the awards. They also come from wide cross-section of society. The awardees are:

- Roxane Brookes was given the award for her contributions to the field of Health
- James Williams was awarded for her contributions to the field of Construction
- Sandra Maynard was recognized for Social Services
- Nolla Reid was honored for the contribution to Education
- Deborah Tyrell was highlighted for her contribution for Art and Fashion Design
- Lornette Webbe honored for Education
- Maurice Burke appreciated for contribution to the Construction sector
- Mr. Cleveton Harris spotlighted for his success in Business
- Ms. Sarah-Ann Daniel honored for work in Tourism & Hospitality
- Curtis Morton recognized for Community Service
Each individual who was awarded during the event has a story that reflects dedication, integrity, and their deep love for Nevis.
