The Band Association of St Kitts and Nevis Band Association has shared a heartfelt tribute on the passing of the Lead Vocalist of the Kollision Band. St Kitts and Nevis, fans and loved ones of the departed artist have come forward to extend their condolences.
The Band association has called Jermaine “Chubby” Clarke a highly gifted and driven artist. They added that the passing of the artist has left the nation in mourning and cast a shadow on the entire creative sector. The passing was not only acknowledged and mourned by the Ministers and Ministries involved in the creative sector, but also by the general population of the country.
He was a proud member of the Kollision Band and the St. Kitts Band Association. The organization has shared that the lead vocalist was known for his energy, talent, and spirit.
He enriched every space he entered and touched the lives of several people, whether they were his fans or his loved ones. The band association has shared that the absence of this artist and vocalist will be profoundly felt by all the people of the island.
They have also shared those who had the privilege of knowing him and sharing in his musical journey were lucky. The organizations has shared that St Kitts and Nevis has lost not only a remarkable singer and musician, but a vibrant soul who lost his life through the tragedy of gun violence.
The organizations shared that they were shocked by the incident and wanted to extend their condolences. At the same time, the organization, joined by several other stakeholders from across the island nation have expressed their condemnation of the incident of violence
Further in their message, they urged the people of the island to choose a different way when they are drawn towards violence. The Band Association statement on the matter claimed, Violence leaves no true victors; it ripples outward, bringing anguish, loss, and lasting pain to families, communities, and our nation as a whole.
