St Kitts and Nevis Tourism Sector is being recognised internationally as the country has received four nominations in the 2026 World Travel Awards. The tourism stakeholders of St Kitts and Nevis have been honored for their work in improving the position of the country.
The officials have shared that the nation has been nominated for the following categories: Caribbean Cultural Destination
Caribbean Dive Destination
Caribbean Tourist Board
Caribbean Adventure Destination.
All the nominations highlight a different aspect of the tourism offering of the country while highlighting why the country is so popular among tourists from across the island. The twin island federation has been seeing prominent growth in the sector.
The tourism stakeholders of the country have shared that the people can vote for St Kitts and nevis in any of the four categories. The vote can be casted on visiting www.worldtravelawards.com/nominees/2026/caribbean. The votes can help the nation in winning in one or more of the nominated categories.
The Minister of Tourism has shared that it is a matter of pride for the people of the island tat the tourism sector of the country is being recognised in this manner. The Minister also taloked about the awards during a recent press conference.
Minister Henderson said, “Tourism continues to stand as one of the strongest pillars of our economy and remains a vital driver of growth, community engagement, job creation, and national transformation,”
The Minister has also highlighted that for the government of St Kitts and Nevis defines the success of tourism not only by visitor arrivals but by the “meaningful and lasting impact the industry has on the lives and livelihoods of our people.”
The nation has been seeing success in the tourism sector for several years as the nation has been featured in various reputable publications across the globe. The nation has been seeing a great interest in their tourism products from travellers across the world.
St Kitts and Nevis has also been nominated Caribbean Leading Dive Destination in 2022. The nation was recognised among the Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Board in 2012, and 2013, and the World’s Leading Island Destination in 2008.
