The St. Kitts Electricity Co. Ltd (SKELEC) is celebrating its 15 anniversary this year. To mark the milestone the company is organizing several activities throughout the month of August 2026. The several activities are taken under the common theme of “Powering Communities. Powering Progress”.

The programme commenced on August Saturday 1, 2026 and will continue till August 31.

The announcement of the 15 years celebration and initiative was made online by the company on their official social media handle. The company said, “The St. Kitts Electricity Company Ltd. SKELEC proudly begins the celebration of its 15th Anniversary this August”.

The SKELEC shared that the initiative is not just about the 15 years celebration but it is also a medium for them to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of the employees. SKELEC stated that the 15 years journey is incomplete without the trust of the customers and communities.

Clement Williams, General Manager of the SKELEC expressed that he felt proud of the accomplishment of the SKELEC and appreciated the efforts of the SKELEC employees. He said, “Reaching our 15th anniversary is a proud achievement for SKELEC and a testament to the dedication of our employees, the loyalty of our customers and the continued support of our stakeholders”.

The General Manager, Williams further explained that SKELEC is continuously focusing on maintaining their legacy of providing safe, reliable and sustainable electricity to the customers across the island. Additionally one of the main activities in the program is “ReConnect 15- SKELEC’s 15th Anniversary Customer Reconnection Promotion”.

The ReConnect 15 initiative started yesterday Saturday August 1 and will run till the last day of the month. Under the initiatives SKELEC is providing 15% down payment to the customers including reduced reconnection fee and flexible payment arrangements.

Additionally, apart from the ReConnect 15 initiatives SKELEC anniversary celebration also features several activities including:

  • Customer Appreciation and Health Fair
  • Customer giveaways and prize raffles
  • Church Service
  • Employee Appreciation Luncheon
  • Staff Social Activities
  • Corporate Volunteer Initiatives and Community Service

Notably, the SKELEC will host anniversary features, and customer stores which highlights their commendable successful journey of 15 years.
