The first Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Sir Kennedy Simmonds turned 90 on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The nation is celebrating the occasion of the birthday of the only living National Hero of St Kitts and Nevis.
Sir Simmonds was born on April 12, 2026 and was the final premier of the country before the twin island attained statehood. Sir Kennedy Simmonds was the Premier of St Kitts and Nevis for three years starting 1980 to 1983. He then served as the First Prime Minister of the country from 1983 to 1995.
