Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew and the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party Leadership have been engaging with the supporters of the political party. The meetings have been hosted across the various constituencies of St Kitts and Nevis during the last week.
During these meetings, Prime Minister Drew talked about the history of the political party. He highlighted how St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party has shaped the nation and given them the rights that they continue to hold today.
The latest Public Meeting which was hosted on Sunday, the Prime Minister and his Labour Comrades took the stage in Georgefield. During the meeting, the people of Constituency 1 had the opportunity to hear their leaders. During this meeting, the leaders from all the constituencies gathered ahead of the Labour Day celebrations.
Talking about the importance of the labour day and the movement, the Ambassador for Constituency 5, Kenneth Douglas said, “We honor the strength and the resilience and the dignity of all its working people. All our working people build this nation every single day.”
He also highlighted the development of the sports infrastructure with the renovation of the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium and Kitts and Nevis along with developments in the the Conaree Stadium, Basketball City, Newtown.
During these meetings, PM Drew and his labour team also talked about the various initiatives which were taken by the administration for the twin islands during their tenure so far. The leadership mentioned the developments in the water security of the country.

In a Public Meeting on Thursday 23, April 2026 at St. Paul’s, Dr Drew said that the federation is effectively working on expanding international diplomacy, economic growth, and social developments.
In the meeting Dr. Drew replied to different opinions which were circulating across the island. He asserted that St. Kitts and Nevis witnessed national progress through tourism growth, increased airlifts and hike in cruise activity in the island.
PM Drew said, “We might be small in size, but we are big and we are bold , especially when Labour Is in charge. So when we say we’re large and in charge, we are not just talking about here in St. Kitts and Nevis. We have been large and in charge for a long time.
PM Drew also mentioned the twin island is rapidly expanding its global presence including the official opening of an embassy in India in April 2026, and working on starting representation in Singapore. He said these partnerships help the island’s citizens for gaining and getting access to scholarship opportunities and international training programmes.
The PM talked about the federation’s efforts in advancing the infrastructure, education, public services, and housing development. He even mentioned fast and progressive construction of the Basseterre High School and shared that the administration achieved all following initiatives in less than half of the government’s term.
He said, “Our strategy is centered around you, the people of this country, In less than half the term, this Labour Government has moved from plans to delivery. Across the island, projects are being executed, homes are being built, roads are being improved, water is flowing more reliably, schools are rising, opportunities are expanding”.
Additionally, Dr Drew also mentioned the depletion in crime rate and appreciated security forces efforts and appeal to young citizens to avoid violence.
