The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew addressed the nation on the occasion of Christmas and gave the message of peace and unity in the country. The Prime Minister extended the greetings of the festival on behalf of the government of St Kitts and Nevis, members of the national cabinet.
The Prime Minister said that, “This is a time of reflection, renewal and reverence. A time when hearts are softened, homes are filled with light, and our thoughts turn toward what truly matters.”
The Prime Minister shared that At this time of year, we are reminded that people must always be at the center of our decisions, our priorities and our actions. Dr Drew highlighted that the administration under his charge is driven by the following principles:
- Investing in people
- Empowering families
- Supporting workers
- Nurturing children
- Caring for the most vulnerable among us.
The Prime Minister said that the members of the community will be working with the members of the community to give them a good life with dignity. The Prime Minister said that a nation prospers not only through economic growth, but through the dignity, well-being and opportunity afforded to every citizen.
He shared that throughout the year 2025, the leadership of St Kitts and Nevis has worked to strengthen healthcare.
The Prime Minister highlighted that they have expanded on the education and training of the people. Dr Terrance Drew’s administration has been supporting small businesses and creating pathways for young people to thrive.
The Prime Minister said that their work is an expression of a people-centered vision, one that recognizes that progress is most meaningful when it touches lives, restores hope and builds resilience at the community level.
The Prime Minister called on the people of the island to make sure that they extend their Christmas spirit past the Christmas day. He said that The spirit of Christmas is not confined to a single day.
It is a way of being, a way of seeing others and a way of responding to need with compassion. I encourage each of us to reach out to someone who may feel alone this season, to offer a word of encouragement, to forgive where there has been hurt, to share where there is abundance
