The St Kitts Tourism Authority and the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), concluded the 2026 ASTA Caribbean Showcase. The five-day event concluded on August 26 at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort, Royal Beach Casino & Spa in Frigate Bay.

The event was attended by travel advisors, tourism leaders and industry partners from all over the Caribbean and the United States.

The event helped the stakeholders of the country to get better knowledge regarding the destination, improve their business practices and collaborations with the region. The event opened with a welcome ceremony on August 22,2026.

The week’s schedule included a general session which was hosted on August 23 trade exhibitions curated site visits to hotel properties across St. Kitts & Nevis. The St. Kitts Marriott Resort, Royal Beach Casino & Spa was the official accommodation partner for the weeklong sessions.

The event was well attended by stakeholders from St. Kitts, Nevis, other Caribbean nations under the United States of America. Notable attendants included St. Kitts and Nevis Minister of tourism Marsha Henderson Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley, Ministers of tourism from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and British Virgin Islands.

During the week attendants engaged in panel discussion “Selling the Unspoilt Caribbean,” this panel discussion talked about how different representatives of different Caribbean islands can effectively showcase their Island’s authentic experiences. Attendants of the event also visited several properties across the island to get first hand experience of the destination.

The curated site visits were made to the resorts and hotel organisations across St Kitts including the KOI resorts St. Kitts, Park Hyatt St. Kitts, Royal St. Kitts Hotel. In Nevis, participants toured Mount Nevis Hotel, the Hermitage Inn and Four Season Resorts Nevis, after the conclusion of the week-long session, attendants shared their experiences describing their experiences as amazing and productive.

Director of Strategic Accounts, North America, for Couples Resorts Jamaica, Garfield Collins called his visit a true Caribbean feeling. The officials have shared that they are looking forward to using the connections that they hae created during creating more tourism opportunities for their destinations.
