PM Drew Details Recent Symptoms, Says Florida Doctors Continue Testing

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew has provided an update on his health situation. The Prime Minister, who is currently in South Florida and remains under medical supervision has assured the people of his country about his wellbeing. 

The Prime Minister talked about his health in detail and even expanded upon the symptoms that he experienced on Sunday, August 30, 2026. 

The Prime Minister connected with the people of St Kitts and Nevis through the administration’s official information service at approximately 4:00 PM. In his message, Dr Drew said that he travelled to Florida after the advice of medical specialists in St Kitts and Nevis and Martinique.

In Florida, the specialists conducted further testing to get a better idea on the Prime Minister’s health. Dr Terrance Drew has reported that at this time, there is nothing concerning to be reported. 

The Prime Minister said that the doctors are continuing their investigations and must be allowed to be thorough in their testing. Dr Drew also spoke about the symptoms which he experienced on Sunday. According to the Prime Minister, he had persistent nausea which developed into episodes of vomiting. 

Additionally, he also experienced pain in the left side of his neck and some mild headache. He also felt unsteady on his feet and experienced balance issues

He chose not to ignore these symptoms and was advised by the team of doctors in St Kitts and Nevis to get admitted in the JNF General Hospital. It was previously confirmed that he underwent a series of tests, scans and other investigations during his stay at the hospital. 

On the advice of this team of doctors, he was transported to Martinique for quick medical support on Monday, August 31. 

From Martinique, the Prime Minister and his wife, Mrs Diani Prince Drew travelled to Florida under the advisement of the doctors in both Martinique and St. Kitts and Nevis.

Dr Terrance Drew said that he was grateful for the expressions of love and support, and wishes for his speedy and complete recovery. He also thanked the people for the medical advice which they have shared. 

The Prime Minister then confirmed that in light of the present circumstances, it is best for him and his health to listen to his doctors, step back and rest. The Prime Minister, taking his experience in light, has urged other people to take their own health seriously. 

He also urged the people of the country to make sure that they get regular checkups, take the time to rest, and never ignore the warning signs when something does not feel right. 

He also appreciated the doctors and nurses at the JNF General Hospital for their swift action and care and professionalism. 

He also extended gratitude to the medical team in Florida which is taking care of him presently.
