The International Olympic Committee (IOC) selected Jessica Warner, Office Manager of St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee (SKNOC) to attend a highly competitive IOC Immersion Stay Programme. The programme is scheduled to take place at Lausanne, Switzerland.
According to reports, the International Olympic Committee only selects 5 participants from all over the world to represent the continent for each edition. St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee (SKNOC) officials noted that Warner’s selection for the Immersion Stay Programme reflects her dedication, professionalism.
Officials also mentioned that representation in the IOC is a major achievement for the St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee (SKNOC) as it will provide the organization a recognition in the international sporting community. The SKNOC shared that it reflects the continuous efforts of the organisation to position themselves as one of the leading national committee in the Caribbean region.
Additionally, in the IOC Immersion Stay Programme is a 10 long days in which Jessica Warner will work closely with IOC NOC Relations and Olympic Solidarity staff members in various departments. She will get the opportunities to gain knowledge on various aspects of sports administration including governance, financial management, Olympic Solidarity programme management, games preparation, marketing and communications.
Additionally during her official visit to IOC Immersion Stay Programme she has to deliver a presentation regarding the St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee structure, operations and long-term goals to the IOC officials.
Officials believe Jessica Warner’s experience in the program will help in the development of the St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee and benefit the twin islands local athletes, member associations and local sports community.
