St. Kitts and Nevis government has taken an initiative of making ELEVATE Centre as a Certified Caribbean Secondary Education Certified CSEC Examination Centre. The remarkable ceremony was held on Wednesday 29, April 2026 at the ELEVATE office, Basseterre.

The Government step highlights their efforts towards the development of education and youth in the region. The ceremony also reflects the government commitment to working on providing opportunities to the public which help in the national transformation.

Through this initiative students from the island now give the CSEC exam at the ELEVATE centre. The centre will provide numbers of benefits including inclusive education, youth and national development.

Geoffrey Hanley, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education has explained that the initiative will enhance the island education system in the region. Hanley said, “This is historic because Elevate is more than a programme, it is a beacon of second chances, a place where our youth are given the opportunity to rewrite their stories and reclaim their future”.

Hanley further mentioned that the centre not only helps in education it shapes and enhances public confidence to achieve their dreams. He said, “This centre represents true rehabilitation. It is not only about academics, but about restoring dignity, hope, and purpose”.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that the federation is working on their commitment of expanding education access to all in the region. He also asserted that under the programme education will be modified specially for those who need it the most in the region.

He further mentioned that the ELEVATE Centre gives a second chance to those individuals who want to restart their education journey and CSEC key subjects will be provide free of cost to them.

Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister even shared that the federation is taking action to extend the program in Nevis. He even mentioned that the programme will support the teachers and civil servants in attaining their qualifications.
