Dr Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of St Kitts and Nevis attended the 10th International Cooperation Conference in Dubai, UAE. The conference was hosted on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit.
The officials have shared that the conference ran for two days, February 4 and February 5, 2026. The Minister of Foreign Affairs shared the images from the event on his social media. He shared that he was accompanied by a delegation consisting of crucial high level officers.
Justin Hawley, Ambassador of the Embassy of St. Kitts and Nevis was part of the conference with Dr Douglas. He was also accompanied by Miss Ticoya Gilbert, who works as a Foreign Service Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, Dr Denzil Douglas engaged in several crucial bilateral talks with the other attendants of the conference. Some of the important topics which came under discussions during the meeting were south-south cooperation, innovation and resilience.
The discussions also touched on the topics of the association of maritime transport and logistics, crucial for a small island state like St Kitts and Nevis. The Minister also highlighted the problem of sargassum at the conference. The administration is actively looking for some sustainable solutions to the problem.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also talked about the implementation of the strategic plan 2025-35. The meeting was a crucial platform for the international partners to come together in the same place.
Dr Douglas used the platform to talk about his team and the government of St Kitts and Nevis’s plans for the nation and its future. According to the Minister, the initiatives he discussed during the conference were designed to deliver tangible and high impact outcomes for the twin island federation and the whole Caribbean region and Caribbean.
The Minister received applause from the people of the nation for his successful representation of St Kitts and Nevis in the international Capacity.
