The National Domino Team of St Kitts and Nevis has departed the island to compete in the World Domino Championship being hosted in St John’s Antigua. The team is accompanied by a list of support staff and other dignitaries.
The officials have shared that the event will be hosted from August 10 to August 18, 2025 with several teams coming from twelve nations. The competing nations include:
- Anguilla
- Antigua & Barbuda
- Barbados
- Grenada
- Guyana
- Dominica
- Saint Lucia
- St. Maarten
- The USA
- St. Vincent & the Grenadines
- Montserrat.
The team consists of people from all ages, young and old from all communities across the twin island nation. The event will feature several interesting rounds, including:
- Four-Hand Team Matches
- Three-Hand Male and Female Teams
- Male & Female Mixed Pairs
- King and Queen of Domino
The St Kitts and Nevis team will be competing for all four segments of the event. The events will be hosted over the course of the whole week and will become a platform for teams to showcase their talent.
The representative team or St Kitts and Nevis will have to showcase their strategy, skill and preparedness in this high stakes competition. The event has served as one of the most important event in terms of flaunting the strength of the mind and steadiness of the hand.
The leaders and the general population of the country has been showcasing their support for the team who will be going to Antigua for the competition. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas has extended his best wishes to the team for their successful representation in the event.
