In the 24th Match of the Caribbean Premier League Tournament, Barbados Royals defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 36 runs. This time, the defending champions St Kitts and Nevis Patriots are having a rough season as they have lost more games than they have won.
At the start of the match, the Patriots won the toss and elected to field first, a decision that severely backfired on them.
Barbados Royals got off to a good start and stood at 22/0 at the end of 3 overs. Following this, Dwayne Bravo took the wicket of Rahkeem Cornwall, and Barbados stood at 22/1. By the time the powerplay ended, Barbados Royals had stood at 43/1.
