Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, visited Government Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday, August 11, 2022. he greeted the GHQ staff warmly during a familiarization tour of the Headquarters on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
Prime Minister Drew was escorted by Sheridane Warner, the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO) of the Human Resource Management Department (HRMD). He visited the Ministry of Agriculture, HRMD, Internal Audit, St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS), National Archives, and Passport Office, along with the Security Officers attached to the Government Headquarters.
Prime Minister Drew expressed his pleasure in meeting the people contributing to national development. He conveyed his gratitude to them for their service to the country. He added that he wanted to work with all these people to “keep our country moving” and get it back to number one.
He expressed that his tour of the GHQ was excellent and thanked the people involved, who received him with open arms.
Prime Minister Drew thanked the CPO for escorting him around and allowing him to “meet everyone who works” at GHQ, including permanent secretaries, heads of departments, and the custodial staff who “keep the physical environment clean.”
St. Kitts and Nevis’ newly elected Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Michael Drew, and his soon-to-be sworn-in Cabinet members began their first working day on Tuesday, August 09, 2022.
The staff at Government Headquarters warmly welcomed the prime minister, Terrance Drew, and his ministerial cabinet Geoffrey Hanley, Marsha Henderson, Konris Maynard, Samal Duggins, and Dr Denzil Douglas with loud applause and smiling faces.
The staff of the GHQ waited excitedly in the foyer and outside their offices to applaud the newly elected members of the parliament.
Cabinet Secretary Josephine Huggins officially greeted Prime Minister Drew and escorted the team to the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM).
Dr Drew was introduced to the OPM staff and toured the attached offices comprising the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister’s Meeting Room and the Cabinet Meeting Room.
