Emergency services transported two people to the hospital Tuesday morning after a vehicle collision on the Bexon Highway.

According to reports, about 9:10 a.m., the Fire Service received a call informing of a motor vehicular collision on the Bexon Highway.

Emergency officials say video footage captured by CCTV camera showed a pickup van turning into the Desglo gap when a black vehicle collided with it while attempting to overtake.

The black vehicle veered off the road as a result.

Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) spokeswoman, Stacy Joseph, told St Lucia Times that the Castries Fire Station responded with one rescue truck and one ambulance.

She disclosed that the responding officers found three persons on the scene who were involved in the collision.

Joseph said two of the individuals were found seated on the side of the road.

“Both complained of pain to various parts of their bodies and were transported in a stable condition to the OKEU Hospital. The third individual refused medical attention and subsequently signed the release form,” the SLFS official noted.
