Artists and notable cultural and musical personalities from St. Kitts and Nevis’ who will be featured at the Fifth St. Kitts and Nevis Heritage Day in Birmingham, England, have arrived in the city where the celebrations are expected to take place. The artists who are representing the federation at the city’s annual heritage day celebration include Itebulous, Dejour
Itebulous is a former lead singer of the Ultrasonics from Nevis; Dejour is a singing sensation from St Kitts, whose prominence and popularity is rising rapidly. Virgil Hodge is likewise a highly acclaimed reggae artiste. They are accompanied by the ever-popular Sweet Sister Sensia of Freedom 106.5 FM. All the participants from St Kitts and Nevis have arrived in Birmingham safely.
The officials have shared that the Heritage Day is considered as one of the United Kingdom’s biggest St. Kitts & Nevis celebrations. The event is hosted annually with large numbers of the diaspora members in attendance. The event celebrates traditional Caribbean food and live reggae.
The day long festival known as the St. Kitts & Nevis Heritage Day takes over Moseley Rugby Club with food and culture from across the federation, The event this year will also feature street food by St. Kitts-born Chef Esmie Stewart.
The Heritage Day is scheduled to be hosted on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
“An all-day cultural celebration of St. Kitts & Nevis is happening this month. In honour of the former British colony and smallest sovereign state in the Western Hemisphere, St. Kitts & Nevis,” said the Heritage Day organizers.
The event remains deeply rooted in Birmingham’s long-established St. Kitts and Nevis diaspora. The day marks the Kittitian and Nevisian community coming together for a day full of rich culture, traditions, and legacy.
The event, including food and music will run from 12 pm to 8 pm. The organisers expect an attendance of more than 1,500 nationals from across the country.
The organizers have also shared that they are looking forward to an exciting programme of live entertainment, with performers travelling directly from St. Kitts and Nevis.
