Barbados Men Cricket team won the 2026 CWI Rising Stars Under-19 championship yesterday on Wednesday July 22, 2026. The Barbados team defeated the Jamaica Men team by outplaying their opponents by 116 runs. The deciding match of the championship took place at the Liberta Sports Club in Antigua and Barbuda.
According to reports, the final match opened with the Barbados team on the pitch where the team delivered outstanding performances by scoring 320 runs in 50 overs with loss of 9 wickets. Barbados restricted Jamaica team to 204 for the loss of all wickets in 43.5 overs and won the championship by 116 runs.
The Barbados U-19 cricket team successfully defended the title by winning the championship for the second time consecutively this year. The third place in the championship was secured by the Trinidad and Tobago U-19 men team.
The Barbados Cricket Association BIC also congratulated the team for their impressive achievement in the championship as it was their sixth consecutive victory in the tournament. The BIC said, “A commanding all-round performance saw Barbados defeat Jamaica by 116 runs to lift the title in style, congratulations to the players, coaching staff and management on an outstanding campaign”.
Moreover, Justin Paris scored the century in the final match where he hit 12 fours and 1 six. He even dismissed 5 wickets of Jamaica batters with his off-spin bowling. Apart from Paris, other players in the Barbados team contributed to the victory including Keliani Clarke, who scored 48 in 71 balls, Kemar Dixon, who contributed 48 in 71 balls, R’Jai Gittens 37 in 19 balls and Rajeev Parsooram 14 in 5 balls.
The championship was organised by the Cricket West Indies and the tournament was a two-week event held from Saturday July 11 to Wednesday 22, 2026. In the championship total 6 participated. The names of the teams are:

- Guyana
- Trinidad and Tobago
- Leeward Islands
- Windward Islands
Notably, last year the CWI Rising Stars Under-19 championship was held at the St. Kitts and Nevis.
