The government of St Kitts and Nevis will host the Fifth Annual AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF 2026) in partnership with the African Export-Import Bank. The event will be held from July 29 to 31, 2026, at the St Kitts Marriott Resort.
The theme of the event is, “Shared Roots, New Routes: Creating Pathways for Enterprise and Innovation.” ACTIF 2026 being hosted in St Kitts and Nevis will play an important role in strengthening the economic ties between the African continent and the Caribbean Community. The event is returning for the fifth year, ACTIF2026 also highlights the growth of the “Global Africa” movement and expansion of South-South cooperation.
The theme of the event reflects the historical and cultural bond of Africa-Caribbean over the course of centuries. Now the engagement is working on turning the bond into economic partnership, trade opportunities and long-term business deals.
Dr. Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis stated that he was proud to have the opportunity to host the ACTIF2026 gathering. He said the purpose of the event aligned with their vision for the nation transforming into a sustainable island state and cultivate better international relations.
Over 1,000 delegates will attend the ACTIF2026 event. The attendants include heads of states, business leaders, government officials, investors, innovators from Africa, the Caribbean and the wider Diaspora. The three day programme will feature high-level plenary events, an exhibition on investment opportunities, targeted business-to-business and several other side events based on technology, renewable energy, tourism and financial services.
The AfriCaribbean trade and Investment summit will serve as a major platform for the advancement of the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The platform will also provide opportunities for operationalising the Africa-Caribbean trade and investment agenda.
The St. Kitts and Nevis get the opportunity to represent its investment-ready projects. They get a platform on the international stage to position their private sector, and become an important bridge for business and trade between Africa and the Caribbean.
